REALIGNMENT NEWS UPDATE
During the first Board of Directors meeting for Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta, Inc., action was taken to approve each of the service units and training units which were in place as of July 31, 2008 as the designated council units, with the following changes:
· County Seat and Sweet Magnolia in Gwinnett county merged into one new service unit – Blazing Star
· A new training unit was added for the southern portion of the council
The board also established the following delegate formula: 1 delegate and 1 alternate per service unit and training unit. Delegate elections should be conducted at the service unit or training unit level and completed by December 31, 2008. Service Unit Directors and Training Unit Administrators will be provided with further instructions later in the fall.
